About MetaMorfosi NY

MetaMorfosi Cultural Association was established and began its activity in June 2009 in Rome, Italy. Its aim is to promote Italian and International Art and Culture through the organization of major exhibitions and cultural events worldwide.

Thanks to careful communication strategies, MetaMorfosi contributes to the enhancement of the artistic heritage of public and private bodies, museums and foundations.

In its 13 years of activity, MetaMorfosi has organized hundreds of exhibitions, ranging from the great Artists of the Italian Renaissance (including Michelangelo, Da Vinci, and Botticelli) to the latest proposals of Contemporary Art.

In 2020 MetaMorfosi founded its U.S. chapter, MetaMorfosi NY Inc., to organize exhibitions and cultural events in the United States.

After the pandemic, MetaMorfosi NY began its activities with a major exhibition dedicated to Banksy in Manhattan.

Since February 2023, MetaMorfosi NY has opened a permanent exhibition space at 378 Broadway, NYC.

Pietro Folena, President

Pietro Folena began his political activity in the PCI when he was very young. He was thirty years old when he was elected as a member of the Italian Parliament, being involved, in particular, in the Anti-mafia Activities.

Since then, he has always held important offices: Anti-mafia Commission member, Responsible of Justice for PDS, DS Party Coordinator, Chamber of Deputies Culture Committee's President.

In addition to these roles, he has been a columnist for several newspapers, an anchorman for Red TV, and President of MetaMorfosi since 2009.

Folena has also written several books including Siamo Tutti Siciliani (1993), Il Potere dell'Arte (2013), and Servirsi del Popolo (2020).
